What is Artists in Schools?

Artists in Schools provides schools with an easily accessible register of artists, who are willing and able to provide high-quality workshops to students. It offers all key stages the opportunity to work with some of the best artists from across your region, working in a wide range of artistic fields.

The National Curriculum places a high priority on introducing children to artists and their art forms from an early age. The mission of Artists in Schools is to provide a simple, practical and collaborative approach to these requirements, enabling more students to enjoy the facility of an artist in their school, while developing innovative and creative arts, craft and design work.

Artists in Schools can tailor workshops to suit individual requirements; whether you’re looking for a one day workshop, a week-long project or a much longer-term residency scheme, Artists in Schools can help.
